Stephanie Cusack
Head Coach
Coach Stephanie Cusack has served as the Head Coach of the McKinney North High School Swim & Dive program since 2022, after serving as an assistant coach during the 2021–2022 season. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Business from the University of Arizona. Coach Cusack lives in McKinney with her husband, Ed, and their daughters, Addison and Courtney.
Since taking over the program, Coach Cusack has guided numerous student-athletes to success at the district, regional, and state levels. Under her leadership, McKinney North has produced multiple individual and relay State qualifiers, as well as State Champions in the 100 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, and 500 Freestyle. The program’s success includes its first three-time State Champion, who earned three consecutive titles in the 100 Backstroke.
Coach Cusack believes the impact of coaching extends far beyond success in the pool. While she strives to develop a lifelong love of swimming and diving and help each student-athlete reach their full potential, her greatest goal is to prepare them for life beyond the McKinney North Swim & Dive program. Through hard work, accountability, resilience, leadership, teamwork, and confidence, she hopes her athletes leave the program not only as better swimmers and divers, but as stronger individuals who are prepared to succeed in whatever path they choose.
